In Love Bombing, Brainwashing, Trauma Bonds, Narcissists and Borderlines, Part 2, I discuss similar traits that cult victims and victims of narcissists and borderlines share. Specifically, the personality characteristics that make them vulnerable. I also and the similar necessary conditions to successfully brain wash and to create a codependent-trauma bond attachment.
Vulnerabilities include the 3 N’s: nice, naive and non-confrontational. Basically, neurotic, conscientious people pleasers who are hungry for love, connection and acceptance. Necessary conditions include the ability to create a sense of powerlessness in the individual and the ability to control their time and relationships with others. Basically, the standard abuse tactics of isolation, alternating punishment and reward and repeatedly placing an individual in no-win situations.
