My co-host reads Youtube comment that are insulting and degrading to me, and I respond. No idea why I agreed to do this.

Without a doubt one of the best, no-bs broadcasts yet! I’m pleased you showed “the other side” of the equation and gave us a glimpse at what the abused people who suffer in life with crazy are up against. Bravo!! 🙂
Can’t wait to experience the Say Goodbye To Crazy Channel.

One more thing…When Dr. T countered the accusation the last person made about the broadcasts causing harm and condoning abandonment of borderlines, Tara was right: People who are in pain and who want answers will Google the symptoms of abuse they find in their relationships and they will eventually find SITES, just like Shrink4men to help them find ANSWERS.
And thank god I did just that, several years ago when I found S4M. Mr. Elam and Dr. T. you have seen so much pain and suffering in your professions over the years that I find the “gallows humor” more than appropriate. Keep up the inspiring work and DON’T CHANGE!!
🙂

Good show.
Some thoughts:
1) As mentioned in the program: people who suspect they themselves have BPD should be properly diagnosed. Those of us who have had BPD family members or significant others have wondered (in part due to DARVO and gaslighting) if we are not also in the Cluster B spectrum ourselves. In a future episode, could you and Paul discuss “BPD (Cluster B) Fleas” http://www.lightshouse.org/fleas-fleas-fleas.html#axzz3WGwu6rQ3 and methods for healing and getting “deprogrammed?” I know that Shari Schrieber does an excellent job of outlining the issue on her site: http://gettinbetter.com/articles.html . Are there other resources you would recommend (besides your upcoming book) that can help someone seeking a mutual, reciprocal, healthy relationship?
2) Recently, in my own healthcare practice, I had a case where the individual was diagnosed with chronic lyme disease. In researching the condition, there is some evidence that chronic infection with the lyme disease pathogens (borellia burgdorferi and babesia) may cause brain changes that cause the bipolar/borderline behaviors AND once treated effectively, the bipolar/borderline behaviors and tendencies disappear in some patients.

Dr. Richard Horowitz is doing some great work, worth reviewing, on chronic lyme disease and effective treatments:

I concur with Dr. T and Paul concerning borderlines: You don’t need to wait around for your crazy-soon-to-be-ex’s official DSM diagnosis to GTFO.
BUT, if there is an organic cause (like Lyme Disease) and an effective treatment, you might want to get that ruled out (especially because Lyme Disease may be sexually transmitted just like other spirochetes like Syphillis http://lymedisease.org/news/lyme_disease_views/lyme-sexual-transmission.html ) and your BPD Fleas may actually be microbes.
I’ve also found a collection of links on chronic lyme disease that someone has put together for those that want to know more:

Subject of…. An ounce of prevention…. (narc spotting)…. [having trouble with forum interface, commenting here]….
Louis CK, vis “It’s not fair”. Is it just me, or do other people puke when they watch that vid, and his narcissistic ego defensive arguments ?
I think the popularity of this vid speaks to our society’s willingness to ingest narcissism. But, sufficiently annealed, we can refute similar crap
in our lives and avoid big relationship, financial, & parenting messes.
