Thank you to everyone who participated in the chat room last night and to our callers. It is a painful subject, but one that needs to be addressed.
In addition to discussing setting boundaries and distancing one’s self from an abusive child or adult child, we also talked about doing the same with abusive parents and other family members. The insidious nature of parental alienation was also explored.
Paul Elam and I will continue this discussion next Monday, May 31, 2012. Actually, just realized that’s a holiday, so let me double-check with my co-host to confirm the date.
After the program, Paul and I attended a post-show video chat via Stickam.com. We’re still ironing out the bugs, but overall, it went well. Paul and I have discussed the possibility of holding men’s groups this way, however, I wasn’t happy with the sound quality and some other technological problems that diminish the user experience. Will keep you posted.
